Simple OC Ask Game

I’ll answer for Am’asy and Arroti both (MC and personal favorite). If you’d like to see this for other characters, don’t hesitate to ask!

1. What is something your OC would never purchase for themselves, but would (secretly?)be delighted to receive as a gift?

Am’asy: A nice dress that she can wear without worrying about it getting ruined.

Arroti: New clothes in general.

2. Is your OC ticklish? Has anyone ever dared to find out?

Am’asy: Yes, and Kys’so takes advantage of it often.

Arroti: Yes, but He would never allow anyone to find out.

3. How easy does your OC find it to apologize?

Am’asy: Not easy. She tends to find it difficult to admit she could be wrong.

Arroti: Easy—but only if He believes He actually was in the wrong.

4. When did your OC first see a dead body? If they have not seen one yet, how might they react to doing so?

Am’asy: When she was a young child, and it was fairly traumatic for her as it had been her grandfather.

Arroti: Unknown. He responds with utter neutrality, unless it was someone He was fond of.

5. Does your OC have any recurring dreams? Have they told anyone else about them?

Am’asy: Usually nightmares of being hunted by a leopard through her family’s grain fields. She would only admit something so silly to Kys’so.

Arroti: It is unknown if He dreams.

6. Is your OC stingy with their money (or other resources)? Or are they something of a spendthrift?

Am’asy: A certain level of frugality can be expected of her, living off a soldier’s allowance, but when she does have extra money she likes to splurge on snacks.

Arroti: He only takes as much as He needs of anything, but will not hesitate to share with others. So not stingy so much as… focused on subsistence.

7. Does your OC have a sweet tooth? Or do they prefer to avoid sweets and sugary treats?

Am’asy: A small one. She likes carb-heavy foods.

Arroti: Not particularly. He prefers salty or umami flavors.

8. Is your OC easily provoked by insults or mockery?

Am’asy: Yes. She has some pride and gets irritated easily.

Arroti: No. He is, however, provoked by threats of aggression, no matter how unlikely it is they would do any harm to Him.

9. Where is somewhere your OC has visited that they would not want to visit again?

Am’asy: Ny’zasaji, the jungle queendom under Yetova’s control. She would claim it worse than Deri if you asked.

Arroti: If He could avoid the Furajyan imperial palace, He would. He doesn’t fit well in it.

Am’asy: Not knowingly.

YEAHHH MAGIC APOCALYPTICA!!! >:3c so, magic apocalyptica isn't really one single wip, rather a worldbuilding project that i pick at from time to time. a bunch of different wips and stories take place here.

basic premise for the setting: the apocalypse happened, in the form of several giant meteors striking earth. all life should've ended and the planet should've been obliterated--but it wasn't.

instead, the meteors awoke several ancient, powerful deities that had been slumbering for thousands of years, who intervened to stop the earth from being entirely destroyed.

they preserved what was left and saved the world, in the process irreparably changing the world and its inhabitants. and there's magic now.

the thing i wanna share here tho, for now, is a rough list of some of the deities credited with saving the world. or at least, what people assume are deities:

the mountain king - an absolutely massive figure roughly shaped like a man, with the head of a deer. his antlers are curve inward, forming a crown of horns around his head and piercing through his skull. he is said to sit upon a throne of stone, surrounded by mountains that rose when the world ended.

there is a single town of people living within that circle of mountains, who are intensely devoted to the mountain king. some of them claim to have spoken to him, even, and carry out his will.

the old woman of the sea - an absolutely massive woman with deep gray skin and long, black hair that reaches down past her feet. her large eyes are glassy and empty, and her mouth is full of dozens of jagged teeth. she's thalassophobia personified, and she wanders the seas. despite walking on the sea floor, she can easily lift her head above the surface.

the old woman is constantly on the move and most often stays underwater, but she has been known to surface occasionally. notably, she is not a mother goddess, but she is associated heavily with creation.

the voice - also known as the sandstorm, the winds, etc. the voice manifests as a large twister near-constantly moving across the midwestern us (or what remains of it), though it has been known to travel outside of that region. presumably, the actual body of the god is at the heart of the twister, but no one has actually seen it and lived to tell the tale. they have, however, heard it.

the voice speaks to people, calling out to them in thousands of overlapping voices. sometimes it speaks in the voices of deceased loved ones, sometimes it calls out in unrecognizable voices and languages.

I'll say Eshani for this one, because she's my oldest OC (it's been almost ten years since she first appeared in my head!) and as such I've had the gratification of her changing over a long period of time.

To a certain degree, I've given her traits that I personally find appealing, because I crafted her to draw other people in with her personality. I really enjoy writing her, and going by the reception on anything featuring her, it's clear I could be doing something right 😅
